| Nividic, built between 1912 and 1936, was never intended to be occupied. It has always been automated. The two towers located left and right of the light are pylons formerly used to deliver electricity. In addition, a cable car suspended over 800 meters of rough water was used to transport supplies and personnel to the light for maintenance. Today the light is produced by natural gas and a helipad allows helicopter landings for resupply. |

Here you can see the actual alignment between the lighthouse and the two pylons. As you can see, they actually are between the lighthouse and the shore.
The cable supplying electricity to the lighthouse would have stretched from shore to the right-hand pylon, then to the one to the left, and finally from
there to the lighthouse. Similarly, if you had to get to the lighthouse, you followed the same path...
