The Olympus C700 has a 10x optical zoom and a 2.7x digital zoom. The lens has a zoom range of 38-380mm (35mm equivalence). This image was taken with the lens at 10x and the digital 2.7x zoom engaged, the equivalent of using a 1026mm lens on a 35mm camera.

As of January 2004, this lighthouse is no longer manned. It is now automated and controlled from Ouessant. Click here  to see the press release.
