The Kéréon Lighthouse
Effective 29 January 2004, the lighthouse
Kéréon is remote controlled; i.e. totally automated. At 13h15, the two last keepers leave the lighthouse via
a Department of Civil Safety helicopter. This event falls under a program of evolution begun in 1990. Kéréon is the last
lighthouse isolated at sea to be entirely automated.
