The framework goes up. The old stairs were demolished last fall.

I prefabbed the steps and had them powdercoated

With the steps in place, the support post is welded to the frame.

It holds the fat guy!

OK, the easy part is done.

A bending shoe got the basic shape of the handrail. This is how I did the fine tuning.

It's beginning to feel safe to stand on.

The dog doesn't share my enthusiasm.

There never is a shortage of willing supervisors.
